Your gun club has a problem!!! J.D. Edgemons shop is closing on March 31, 2008. As you may not know, J.D. has been supplying targets to our club and also stores them for the club until needed. We must buy targets from another source and they will be delivered by freight truck on pallets. The truck only delivers during the week Monday – Friday. Our club needs an off loading dock and a storage facility. Presently the club has enough targets to last 3 – 4 months. We can also store about 4 pallets of targets in the trap houses, but they must be put in the trap houses one case at a time (63 cases to one pallet). We are currently using 12-14 pallets each year. Our best solution is to construct a storage house with a truck loading ramp for target storage. The cost to construct a concrete slab with a truck ram, place a permanent storage container and stock three month of targets is estimated to be ... $7500.00
Our club will start a construction fund for the storage facility. We will do special fun raising programs ... “Fun Shoots”, “Family and Friends Suppers” and other events to promote the construction fund. Your help with this project is greatly appreciated.
